At Cobblestone Coffee, we are committed to your satisfaction with every bag of coffee we roast and ship. Because our products are freshly roasted specialty coffee — a perishable food item — our policy reflects the nature of the product while still offering fair solutions where possible.
1. General Policy for Coffee Products (Whole Bean, Ground, Blends & Single-Origin)
Due to the perishable and food-safety nature of freshly roasted coffee:
- We do not accept returns on opened or partially used bags of coffee.
- We do not offer refunds on coffee products once the bag has been opened or the seal broken (except in cases listed below).
Coffee is best enjoyed fresh and loses quality rapidly after opening. For this reason, opened coffee cannot be resold or redistributed.
2. When We Will Offer a Refund or Replacement
We are happy to help in the following situations:
- Product arrives damaged or defective (e.g., bag is torn/leaking, coffee smells off/rancid, or clearly damaged during transit) → Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damaged product and packaging. We will arrange a full refund or replacement (our choice) at no extra cost to you.
- Wrong item or incorrect order sent by us (e.g., received Ethiopia instead of Brazil, or 250g instead of 1kg) → Notify us within 7 days of delivery. We will cover return shipping (if required) and send the correct item or issue a full refund.
- Order has not yet shipped → You may cancel or modify your order for a full refund if it has not entered the roasting/shipping process. Contact us as soon as possible.
3. Non-Refundable / Non-Returnable Items
- Any coffee product once opened or seal is broken
- Sale/discounted items (unless damaged, defective or incorrect — see section 2)
- Gift cards / digital products (if offered in the future)
- Shipping fees (unless the issue is our error — see section 2)
4. How to Request a Refund or Replacement
- Email us at coffeecobblestone@gmail.com (or the contact email listed on your site)
- Include your order number, delivery date, and a clear description of the issue
- Attach photos showing the problem (packaging, bag condition, etc.)
- We will respond within 1–2 business days with next steps
5. Refunds Process
- Once approved, refunds are processed to your original payment method
- Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account (depending on your bank/card issuer)
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
